Headquarters 
Appliance Park is 900-acre facility that houses executive offices, manufacturing operations, a technology and engineering center, industrial design operations and the largest distribution warehouse in the company’s network.

Appliance Park produces washing machines and dryers, dishwashers and bottom freezer refrigerators.

GE Appliances also operates manufacturing facilities in four additional states:

  • Decatur, Alabama – producing top freezer refrigerators
  • LaFayette, Georgia – producing cooking products*
  • Selmer, Tennessee – producing Monogram built-in refrigerators*
  • Camden, South Carolina – producing refrigeration products

Other Operations
In 1987, Mabe, a joint venture, was created by GE and Mexican entrepreneurs. 

GE Appliances’ distribution network includes nine distribution centers with 130 additional cross dock locations across the United States.

GE Appliances has a network of call centers located in Louisville, Kentucky; Rapid City, South Dakota*; and Memphis, Tennessee*. 

In 2014, GE Appliances opened FirstBuild, a global co-creation community that harnesses the power of the maker movement to change the way major home appliances are conceived, designed and manufactured. FirstBuild began in Louisville, Kentucky and has since opened centers of excellence in Shanghai, China and Hyderabad, India, as well as an online community of more than 30,000 individuals, In a state-of-the-art facility on the University of Louisville campus, complete with its own microfactory, FirstBuild engineers, create and invent the next generation of home appliance innovation and enable customization through small-batch production without the cost and risk of traditional mass manufacturing.
